In a recent report it was stated that seeking the services of contractors may well assist businesses in reaching their key attributes.
The current economic climate has forced many businesses to re-assess strengths and weaknesses.
About 29% of employers are presently making use of contractors in HR roles, with 20% saying that there had been a significant increase in this recruitment tactic.
Vanessa Robinson, Head of HR practice at the CIPD, has said that there was a real opportunity for HR professionals to fulfill a more strategic role.
