Contractors should get ready for change
25 June, 2009
Contractors and freelance consultants should be gearing up for changes during the recession. Dr. John McGurk of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (the CIPD) has said that merely attending courses may not be enough.
Dr. McGurk feels that it is absolutely vital that people re-assess their skills and take the necessary steps in these difficult times. Everyone needs to be continuously learning and developing as well as taking on new tasks that stretch and build skill levels. He also advises contractors to be creative in ways to expand their knowledge in order to explore private study and develop better project management skills.
